At Wild Child Playgarden & Wildschooling, we offer flexible, bilingual (English/Spanish) holistic educational programs led by skilled educators to cultivate children's sense of wonder and reverence for all living things.

Our nurturing learning environment features Mongolian yurts, providing a creative space for art and project-based learning, a 26-ft geodesic dome equipped with aerial silks, gym rings, and other circus arts apparatus for imaginative physical expression, and vast outdoor spaces for mixed-age learning. Children ages 1-8 enjoy a nature-centered curriculum with creativity and hands-on holistic experiences.

We believe in sustainability, teaching children eco-conscious living through hands-on practices. We instill a love of learning in children, and we also help them develop a love of loving well. At Wild Child, we nurture compassion for all living forms and we build cultures of belonging. We are a community that supports transformation.

Our flexible programs allow children to join anytime, with both part-time and full-time options for short- and long-term commitments.

Located between jungle and the ocean near Playa Pelada, Guiones beach, and Osteonal, our peaceful, nature-rich location provides an ideal backdrop for learning.

We support the local nomadic lifestyle with weekly and seasonal offerings.

At Wild Child Nosara, we offer an enriching space for nomadic families seeking an alternative to traditional school. Our programs are child-led, project-based, and designed for Worldschoolers, Unschoolers, and Homeschoolers. We are not a school; we are a flexible enrichment environment where children gather to explore creativity, sustainability, movement, knowledge, and practical skills like literacy and numeracy through ecological awareness and project-based learning. This holistic approach fosters real education, empowering children to lead projects, think critically, and develop intelligence rooted in their connection to nature and community. Our goal is to cultivate well-rounded individuals who are not only academically capable but also deeply aware of the world and their role in creating a sustainable, beautiful future.

At Wild Child Playgarden & Wildschooling, we craft our holistic educational programs around the seasons and according to the needs of children and their parents. We observe the natural forces present throughout the different months of the year.

A consistent and predictable rhythm fosters self-regulation, enhances imaginative play, and creates harmony and peace throughout our community. By alternating “inbreath” (focused, quiet) and “outbreath” (active, expressive) activities, we help each child find balance and flow, supporting their individual growth within a nurturing, joyful environment.

To deepen this experience, we’re structuring each day with a special theme that inspires different qualities in the children -like creativity, communication, or reflection. This rhythm helps us explore a wide range of experiences, engaging different parts of ourselves throughout the week.

The day begins with free play and circle time, where children sing, dance, and celebrate the beauty of life. Honoring the miracle of existence through music and movement is a sacred act, fostering joy, connection, and gratitude.

Following circle time, mornings are enriched with:

• Nature Walks and Exploration: Discover the wonders of the natural world, including biodynamic gardening.

• Creative Movement: Promoting physical development through engaging and fun activities.

• Healthy Snack Preparation: Children participate in preparing their own wholesome snacks, cultivating independence and mindfulness around food.

• Artistic Expression: Activities such as watercolor painting, drawing with crayons, and sculpting with beeswax allow children to explore their creativity.

Midday Calm and Rest

After a nourishing lunch, children prepare their cozy personal spaces for Storytime, where Waldorf storytelling traditions come to life with dolls, puppets, and vivid imagination. Most children transition into a peaceful nap afterward, recharging their energy for the afternoon.

For children ages 4-8, our program offers a bilingual, project-based learning environment designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. Our approach introduces foundational academics in a way that is natural, engaging, and aligned with the rhythms of childhood.

Exploring Letters, Numbers, and the World

Children are gently guided into the world of literacy and numeracy through hands-on exploration and imaginative activities. We honor the importance of learning to read and write in the child’s mother tongue, with most academic work conducted in English. Spanish is woven into the program through art, movement classes, and dedicated Spanish as a second language lessons, fostering bilingual skills in a playful and supportive way.

Creative and Collaborative Learning

Our days are rich with collaborative art projects, animal care, and community-building activities. Children work together to explore themes and ideas, developing essential skills like problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.
